The HighSeas filter can be used in salt water up to eight times, generating 500ml of a high-calorie survival drink with each batch. The outer pouch is made of high quality, medical grade vinyl, while the inner compartment is made from a proprietary membrane. The HighSeas is designed to be portable; fill with salt or fresh water through the red port and inject one syrup charge through the green port. Water will transfer from the outer pouch to the inner pouch, and the resulting drink is then poured back out through the green port for drinking.

The HighSeas can also be used in fresh water, generating about 1.8L of drink with batch. Using just half of each syrup charge for fresh water filtration, each pouch will generate a total of 29L over 16 uses.
